It’s rare that you will find me touch upon political, taboo, or certain sensitive subjects that might detract from Serenity Hunter’s focus on mental health. However, unrest across the nation in response to the needless death of George Floyd at the hands of a few police has prompted me to make an exception for today.
As some may know, I recently entered a 9-month therapeutic program referred to as RO-DBT (Radically Open: Dialectal Behavioral Therapy). This week is Lesson #1 and I found that three key points from the lesson are so important as we engage one another in the days and weeks ahead.
